Space Walk: Orion Nebula

M42, the Orion Nebula, is one of the greatest objects to look at in a telescope. Even small telescopes show a beautiful flower-shaped nebula. In a dark sky, it is breathtaking.

Image of the area, with objects labeled. You will not see this much nebulosity, detail, or color in your telescope visually, but it should give  you an idea of what is what.  North is to the left, West is up.
